I love this place - Foods great and ice cream is cold and good milkshakes are excellent..... can't wait for them to open up (they have excellent potato soup) I guess that's the Irish in me, stop by and enjoy it

Awesome old school family owned ice cream shop. They also have great a great indoor grill for burgers, sandwiches, fries, etc.. We make it a point to stop on the way to the shore.

I've been going to Lapp's for years now. They have the best pulled pork in the area and the service is always quick. This kinda place is getting hard to find anymore but it's well worth stopping by for a house burger(topped with pulled pork) and a shake.

Clutch stop for a great treat after the rodeo! Delicious twister (just like a dairy queen blizzard) and fast service!

The Olympia has some of the best milkshakes around. My favorite is the orange creamsicle. Great selection of custard and hand dipped ice cream. Their food is awesome too. The BBQ pulled pork fries are delicious and extremely unhealthy for you. Better call your cardiologist before eating this! All kidding aside, this is so excellent comfort food. The only drawback is that they are closed on Sundays, due to being owned by the Lapps, who have roots in the Pennsylvania Dutch community. Not a bad thing, but if you happen to be driving back from the Jersey shore on Sunday, no ice cream for you. Open every other day though.

After 40+ years of driving by, today I finally stopped! I ordered a hamburger and onion rings. I don't eat bread, so it was pretty plain, but it was good! Big, cooked nicely, not overdone. You can't mess up onion rings, they we're real onions, not chopped. The petal sauce was really good. I will definitely stop again!

This place is a timewarp! Sit at the counter and get a good old fashioned greasy-spoon burger with a malted milk shake. Their rib and brisket specials are delicious, if capricious. Their soft serve is also very good. Definitely check them out!

Excellent milkshakes. Great burgers and chicken sandwiches. Haven't tried the whole menu yet but planning to.

Banana shake had that artificial flavor taste. I thought they used fresh bananas. Not so. Long wait. Two young ladies staffed the entire set up. One waitress was running back and forth to the burger part.

I had the Bronco burger it was awesome and of course a large chocolate shake so thick so chocolatey made the old school way!Everything was awesome the fries too!

Great little roadstop for great ice cream and good burgers. It's a bit of a landmark with its giant signs, but the actual food is burgers and hot dogs. On the other side of the building, away from normal food, there is a wide variety of ice cream, custards, and milkshakes which are really good. Definitely worth it to go get some ice cream even if you aren't getting any other food.

Delish as always!!! If you haven't been, GO!!! Take the kids or your homey for a real nice old fashioned treat. It really makes you think about how much different of a world we grew up in, versus our babies. Thank you Lapp's for keeping it going old school♡

Good, not great, still much better than fast food. Very friendly and the monster size shakes and drinks are nice. Shakes are very thick, I’m from the south and the pulled pork isn’t what I like but wasn’t bad. Also had a cheeseburger and enjoyed it.

Not that they DON'T deserve a five-star rating, its just that if I did give a five-star rating it would have you believe this place is flawless (which no eatery ever is). However... I used to enjoy the burgers here back in the days before Lapp took over, but I can't say I do anymore. While their pulled pork, hotdogs and epic fries are dangerously good, their hamburgers are not. The burger patty itself seems too gritty, dry and, I'm sad to say, tasteless. Unlike back in the day their burgers are nothing that would make you want another and another. But don't let that hinder you from stopping in and enjoying a nice lunch. The place is still well kept and inviting and still holds that age-old nostalgia of Americana. The staff are friendly (actually more friendly than the previous owners. I didn't feel guilty asking for more napkins. Ha!) and make you feel welcome. Can't ask for a better roadside attraction. On a side note: They need to repaint the big billboard, just sayin'. :)

Greek and American food is good here. The portions are large. The salad that comes with the Greek platters is almost too much. The wraps and paninis come with a mountain of very good French fries. This is another place that the whole family is very happy to patronize.

Nice variety if Jersey home grown fruits & veggies. Will make this a regular stop coming from Cowtown from now on

This place was nice and the food was good. The bathrooms on the other hand do need a good cleaning or maybe replacing. They were just horrible.

This place is a local landmark. You just cannot go to Cowtown without stopping by for a meal or a snack.The smell of the steaks and burgers tempt you to indulge in more than a cone.Friendly servers, nice sized portions, good food, and reasonable prices bring people back.

Great roadside food and atmosphere! We stopped here after missing our exit for Cracker Barrel and I’m glad we did. From the outside the building is plain and simple, plenty of parking and easy access. We had the burger, cheese stake and fries, all of which were on par and terrific! This place is one of those off the beaten path hidden gems that you could have found 40 years ago traveling through small towns.

Dirty, rude waitress, cook was visible but totally unfriendly. Food was under par even for a greasy spoon.

When I ordered this tall skinny young girl working was being very ignorant, acting like it was such a hassle to serve us, I asked for a ice cream and she just proceeded to slam the window, and was so rude. I ordered a water after receiving the ice cream and she began to mock me to another girl working saying “can I like get a water” and laughing in our faces. My friends ordered after me and they were treated the exact same way. When we gave her cash we had change of a penny and she proceeded to say “do you want your extra penny back, yeah I don’t think so”. She also proceeded to say we left her pen at the other window and demanded at me to go get it and slammed the window again. Very rude ladies and it’s a shame that we were looking forward to stopping as everyone at the rodeo seems to stop there after.

Best milk shakes in SJ. You need to try their pulled pork cheese fries...worth the price and few extra pounds around the belly. Just need bigger straws for shakes.They also have a place to eat at Cowtown...good eats there too!!

This place has great milkshakes and the food is pretty good. However, the kitchen is so slow with hot food orders!! We just waited 35 minutes for one order of cheese fries. It’s 3:30 in the afternoon, and they’re not busy.

This place is seasonal but when it's open you need to go. Best burgers anywhere. Like those you used to get at that local burger place when you were in school. And don't forget to get a shake right next door. Just go, you'll be glad you did.
